When first contemplating the architecture for this site I wanted to ensure complete flexibility and the opportunity to scale, should the need arise in the future. As I had used Joomla Open Source Content Management extensively in other business propositions I decided to apply the same platform to this web build - this time using latest version 1.5.2.

The major benefit of Joomla is that there is a very large community of developers who have built a vast library of extensions, which you can quickly apply to any web initiative. I can develop sites by hand but prefer not to reinvent the wheel when there are such clever developers out there in cyberspace willing to share the fruits of their labour.

I used a Rocketheme template, which I customised and with the hosting, configuration, customised forms processing, graphics and content I estimate that I put in a total of about 10 days to get this site live.
